blueStudio Online: I In The Village

Chagall’s “I In The Village{quote} has always been one of my favorite paintings. I love his title word play on “I{quote} and the overwhelming “eye{quote} contact depicted. I know his humble village representation has influenced my own visual constructions over time. The large profiles are such a dominate aspect of the original composition. In my skew I push them to be even more woven into the landscape, to the point that the ewe has totally transformed into architecture. Chagall's rich palette of complementaries laid the foundation for my own village scene.
